Paradise Killer, the investigative indie RPG hit from developer Kaizen Game Works, is officially going to get physical editions. A new trailer from Serenity Forge reveals all of the content fans can expect.

The physical editions will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. A release window was not confirmed. However, fans can pre-order the physical editions now, and the Collector’s Edition store page notes that pre-orders shouldn’t ship “until Q3 2023”.

Here’s the new gameplay trailer, which also elaborates on some of the upcoming in-game content, alongside some well-deserved accolades:

Paradise Killer launched back in 2020 to rave reviews, so renewing interest with some physical editions should be very easy. The game is just plain unusual in all of the best ways, which makes it all the more surprising and satisfying as a mystery adventure.

The characters and settings are unexpected and odd, making all of your detective work a genuine challenge. The open world is densely packed with lore and feels naturally lived in. And the art design itself is compelling, making the most of a vibrant island setting. It really breaks tradition from the genre.

This all stems from a considerably imaginative premise, which inspired a clear vision that was executed well. Fortunately, that personality seems to come through the physical editions too.

There will be a standard Physical Edition, as well as a Collector’s Edition, and the latter includes quite a lot of components.

The themed mousepad was a clever idea, and they certainly chose the right character to feature. It’d be a delight to see that added into physical editions for other games. The Collector’s Edition also adds some acrylic standees, which boast a colorful base and better quality than similar releases.
