Many players long for the days of freedom and prosperity of the days of pirates, reflected in the industry’s love for titles like Shadow Gambit: Cursed Crew. This new title from Mimimi Games will have players relying on stealth and strategy if they hope to face off against the enemies of the Inquisition, threatening you and your crews’ livelihoods. A demo is available now until June 26.
The Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew demo will offer players anywhere from two to four hours of playtime, which includes an intro, different missions, and even a few different visits to islands using your ghost ship. Players will become familiar with their ship, the Red Marley, as it will become their home base and location for all their basic needs throughout the full version of the game.
This is a new original IP from Mimimi Games and will feature an alternate version of Caribbean pirate history that looks to be leaning heavily into the supernatural. Players will board their ship and be tasked with creating a strong and loyal crew before taking on the Inquisition. Once defeated, you’ll finally be able to get to the treasure from the infamous Captain Mordechai.
This game comes from the same developers behind the incredibly popular Shadow Tactics game but is now self-published by the developer. Many fans of that series will likely find some similar fun thanks to Shadow Gambit‘s stealth and strategy mechanics.
The demo will only be available for a limited time and only during the Steam Next Fest even though the game is releasing on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and the PlayStation 5.
