Today, Paradox Interactive officially announced that Shadowrun Trilogy, a collection featuring the three main titles in the acclaimed tactical RPG series, will be arriving on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2022.
According to the announcement trailer, which you can check out below, the Console Edition of the well-known cyberpunk fantasy titles will feature a full port of the games for consoles, allowing players on the new platforms the chance to experience everything the series has to offer. The trilogy was first released on July 23, 2015, exclusively for PC.
The Shadowrun Trilogy features all three main titles of the acclaimed series, Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition. All of which are based on the acclaimed tabletop RPG series, first released by FASA in 1989. You can check out a short description of each one of the titles below.
Shadowrun Returns
In Shadowrun Returns, players are put in the shoes of a group of Shadowrunners, as they chase a mysterious killer and uncover some of the darkest and bloodiest conspiracies hidden within the shadows of the megacorps controlling the Seattle metroplex.
Shadowrun Dragonfall
Originally released as the first major expansion for Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall takes players to the year 2054, almost 40 years after the Great Dragon Feuerschwinge was defeated and Germany’s landscape changed forever.
In the game, you will once again gain control of a group of Shadowrunners, who must find a way to survive after being caught amidst a deadly conspiracy, a search that will lead them to the heart of something way bigger than they could possibly imagine.
Shadowrun Hong Kong
Originally released as the second major expansion for Shadowrun Returns, the game will take you, as its title says, to the city of Honk Kong, where you will take on the role of a new protagonist, build your team, explore the city, and uncover the true story of The Hong Kong Free Enterprise Zone.
You can currently play through all the games part of the Shadowrun Trilogy exclusively on PC, via Steam, GOG, and on the Epic Games Store.
