A new trailer for the upcoming first-person survival horror video game, Shame Legacy, was released today, showcasing its gameplay and a few details on its narrative.
Shame Legacy is developed by Fairyship and Revenant Games. It is set to be released by publisher Destructive Creations for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 30th.
Shame Legacy follows the story of a troubled protagonist struggling to survive a hunt that is taking place in a 19th-century forsaken cultist village. Players in Shame Legacy will attempt to survive using stealth and escape mechanics. In addition, players will discover the protagonist’s connection to the cult through solving puzzles. Recently, Destructive Creations released a new trailer, giving a sneak peek at Shame Legacy‘s blend of action and psychological horror, as well as its stunning graphics and immersive sound design.
The trailer begins with an eerie voiceover, reminding the protagonist how their fears had led them to the evil cult. The protagonist is shown walking towards the cane, a valuable device that players will use for defense and puzzle-solving. The action picks up as the trailer goes on with the protagonist meeting a gigantic monster. The protagonist used the cane as a defense, demonstrating that the device is effective in repelling monsters.
So far, it appears that Shame Legacy is unlikely to feature a complete action-packed combat system. Instead, the game will place a greater focus on stealth and escape mechanics, as well as making strategic use of the cane.
Apart from the gameplay, the trailer also highlights Shame Legacy‘s incredible sound and graphics. The sound design is particularly effective in this regard, with haunting music and sound effects that add to the game’s overall atmosphere of dread and discomfort. The graphics are impressively detailed, with intricate textures and lighting effects that bring the game’s terrifying world to life.
You may add Shame Legacy to your Steam and Epic Games Store wishlist now to be notified when it becomes available for PC.
