Shangri-La Frontier is an action and adventure fantasy manga by Katarina and Ryousuke Fuji that is getting an anime adaptation. The anime will begin broadcasting in 2023.

In 2020, Kadokawa published Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Nidoman tosu ~ which now has eight volumes, with the 9th being released in mid-July 2022. The series was first published in Weekly Shonen Magazine and is based on the web novel by Katarina, which began in 2017.
Shangri-La Frontier follows the story of a second-year high school student named Rakuro Hizutome. Unfortunately, he is only interested in one thing: finding terrible games and beating them.
With his top-tier gaming skills and mechanics, no game is too bad or difficult for him to enjoy. So, when he’s introduced to Shangri-La Frontier, a new VR game, he decides to skip the prologue and dive right in. But he soon comes to realize that this VR game holds many secrets.
The cast for Shangri-La Frontier includes:
- Yuuma Uchida as Senraku/Rakuro Hizutome. Yuuma is also known for his roles as Kyou Souma in Fruits Basket and Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen.
- Azumi Waki as Saiga-0/Rei Saiga. Azumi is known for her roles as Rem Galleu in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord and Hinata Tachibana in Tokyo Revengers.
- Youko Hikasa as Arthur Pencilgon/Towa Amane. Youko is known for her roles as Rias Gremory in High School DxD and Mio Akiyama from K-On!
- Makoto Koichi as Oicazzo/Rei Omi. Makoto is known for her roles as Akuru Akutsu in Aho Girl, and Lugh Tuatha Dé in The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat.
- Rina Hidaka as Emul. Rina is known for her roles as Milim Nava in That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime and Filo in Rising of the Shield Hero.
- Akio Ootsuka as Weiss Ash. Akio is known for his roles as Thorkell in Vinland Saga and Rider in Fate/Zero.
