Sker Ritual is the successor to the award-winning, single-player horror game Maid of Sker. Inspired by the Maid of Sker Challenge mode, the team at Wales Interactive wanted players to play with friends online and explore online co-op multiplayer modes.
The official trailer for Sker Ritual has been revealed.
Sker Ritual is a co-op wave shooter that will feature in-game challenges, tasks, and events. These events will reward you with story content and unlockable content. You can either play solo or join with four friends to tackle the onslaught of the Quiet men.
The Quiet Ones have returned in this game, but they have become even more undead. Fans of Maid of Sker will recognize the improved Blazeslinger, Banshee, Mariner, and Phantom. These juggernauts are tough to take down, and each has a unique set of abilities, meaning you will have to change your playstyle, location, or enlist help from your teammates to survive! Besides the old enemies, many new ones lurk in the shadows, waiting to attack.
Sker Ritual is set shortly after the events of Maid of Sker in the early 1900s. Steampunk fans will be excited to know that this game has more steampunk elements. In addition, Sker Ritual is an action, adventure, survival horror, and mystery game mixed with gothic science fiction.
Sker Hotel is set in the 20th Century and has a few surprises in store for players. The map for this game is called “The Cursed Lands of Lavernock.” There are few details on this map. Wales Interactive will highlight the abandoned Cathedral, the underground living quarters, and a mysterious chamber in other updates.
