Monomi Park just released its first major content update for Slime Rancher 2, Song of the Sabers. One of the highlights of this update is the new Biome called Powderfall Bluffs, a mysterious, glacial island off the coast of Ember Valley. Players will discover a bustling population of ancient Saber Slimes and Thundercluck chickens, as well as odd auroral anomalies, a treasure trove of new resources, and more in this new Biome.

Powderfall Bluffs is an ancient frozen island that emerged unexpectedly from the Slime Sea. It is an icy biome unlike anything ever seen in Slime Rancher. Players will be able to access this winter wonderland through an entrance situated somewhere in Ember Valley. Powderfall Bluffs is also home to Saber Slimes and a new rare slime. The following are the additional features that can be found in Powderfall Bluffs:
- Real-time snow deformation
- Snowball fights with slimes
- Auroral Anomalies
- New Research Drones
- New Treasure Pods
The Song of the Sabers update also introduces Prehistoric Thundercluck chickens, which are ideal food sources for Saber Slimes. Powderfall Bluffs’ chilly peaks also provide numerous additional valuable resources, such as Perfect Snowflakes, rare Sun Sap, and adorable Slime Fossils. Meanwhile, here are the newest Vac Upgrades, Utility Gadgets, and Deco Gadgets offered by Slime Rancher 2’s Song of the Sabers update:

Monomi Park also revealed to be developing new features that expand upon the main activities and game systems of Slime Rancher to enable users to explore Rainbow Island in new ways. These new features will likely be released following this update. Soon, further information on what’s ahead in Slime Rancher 2 will be revealed.
