Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about Ringtail Slimes!
Where to Find Ringtail Slimes?
Ringtail Slimes like to steal at night and love to get away with everything they can before daylight. Ringtail slimes turn into stone statues when exposed to the sun. This means that during the day, you can pick it up like a largo, and it will transform back to its original form at night. You can find them in Ember Valley, which is unlocked by defeating the Pink Gordo. You will have the best luck locating them near the lava rivers running through Ember Island.

It’s much easier to gather these while at night or within a cave. You can vacuum them up as normal when they aren’t exposed to the sun, so don’t both carrying around a statue all the way back to base. Just bring the statue to a dark area and it will come alive and be collectible!
How to care for Ringtail Slimes?
Ringtail Slimes are a rare type of slime. They have an omnivorous diet, which means they eat both meat and veggies, but you’ll want to feed them their favorite food to get more plorts out of the ones you keep in your corral. They are modeled after raccoons, so they eat anything and everything! If you want to keep them from turning into stone statues, you’ll need to add a Solar Shield.
Ringtail Slimes Favorite Food
Normally, you’d want to feed your Ringtail Slimes their favorite food, because this doubles the number of plorts they produce, which means your production yield is higher and you can convert to more money or craft more items more quickly. However, from what we have seen thus far in our exploration of the game, they eat everything and have no favorites!
We hope this helps you find, feed, and take care of your Ringtail Slimes as you make your way through Slime Rancher 2. We have more how-to guides for Slime Rancher 2 if you need more assistance!
