Sonic Prime, an upcoming animated series for Netflix, just got another teaser featuring Big the Cat and Froggy, fan favorites that haven’t been seen in a while.

Sonic Prime seems to have been reduced to tiny character introductions, rather than finally dishing out a full trailer. Fans expected a little more, especially since Shadow was also just revealed to less fanfare, and the end of today’s teaser only includes previously seen footage of Sonic.
However, that’s only because the fanbase loves these characters so much, and maybe these reveals are all Sonic Prime really needs for now.
Big the Cat is a strong but gentle friend of Amy, and first appeared in Sonic Adventure. As seen in the new teaser, Big the Cat and Froggy are very passive and friendly.
The blockbuster Sonic movies have been met with a lot of praise, largely due to the performances and tone. They’ve invited a new generation of fans that will surely check out a Netflix animated series.
And although Sonic Prime still hasn’t gotten a release date, at least fans had a glimpse of Big the Cat’s voice acting. Big the Cat is supposed to be a little slower, which can be very difficult to pull off in a loving way, and this actor seems to get it right.
For now, the only known plot point to expect seems to be a multi-verse approach, which has been popular across all famous IPs lately.
Meanwhile, Sonic Frontiers will keep the buzz going, since IGN First continues to pump out new content including exclusive interviews and gameplay reveals. Although the game remains a bit divisive for its open-world approach, some fans have come to embrace the new direction.
