Sons of the Forest delayed until October 2022

The Forest sequel, Sons of the Forest, has been delayed until October 2022.

Sons of the Forest, a first-person survival/horror sequel to The Forest has been delayed until October 2022. The exact release date is unknown, but it looks like their original target of May 2022 was a bit ambitious. At the very least, the game should be released this year, which is at least good news that we won’t have to wait until 2023 for the launch.

The developers at Endnight Games released the following statement about the delay on Twitter:

Hey Everyone,

Over these past few weeks, we have realized that our May 2022 release date for Sons Of The Forest was overly ambitious. To be able to deliver our vision of the next step in survival games, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 2022

There hasn’t been a whole lot of information release on the game, but you can expect it to be fairly similar to The Forest. So, fans of the survival genre should be pleased by the small bits of media that has been released.
