Developer Dramatic Labs has announced the upcoming release of Star Trek: Resurgence, an interactive narrative video game, on May 23. The game is set to launch on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. According to the developer, the game takes place shortly after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation, allowing players to immerse themselves in the beloved sci-fi universe.
In Star Trek: Resurgence, players will take on the roles of two main characters: First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Ensign Carter Diaz. They will be tasked with solving a mysterious conflict involving two civilizations on the verge of war. Players will interact with both new and familiar characters from the Star Trek universe, making dialogue choices and taking action to influence the course of the story.

Dramatic Labs provides an overview of the game’s plot, which revolves around a worker uprising that threatens the fragile peace between two alien civilizations. Starfleet is forced to intervene, with First Officer Jara Rydek joining a diplomatic envoy led by Ambassador Spock to resolve the situation and uncover the true cause of the unrest. Meanwhile, Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz experiences the mission’s events from the lower decks, providing an alternative perspective on the unfolding drama.
Throughout Star Trek: Resurgence, players will have the opportunity to interact with the Star Trek universe in a unique and engaging way. The game promises authentic action sequences and critical decision-making that can impact the overall narrative in subtle yet surprising ways.
