Zynga’s sleeper hit Star Wars: Hunters just updated the game with increased access, and added new features like a battle pass, LTM event, and improved gameplay mechanics.

Although the game still isn’t available in the US, Star Wars fans in Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan can now join the arena battle game. Accordingly, a few more languages are being supported, including French.
Star Wars: Hunters has finally established a battle pass, a critical feature for games with one core mode. It keeps players invested and returning for the grind, even when there’s less content. That’s one of the main issues behind the latest Halo Infinite frustration, so even hit console games aren’t immune.
Hunters’ new battle pass launches on May 16th, and will be completely free this time. After the inaugural pass, it will be split into a free and paid format. The paid version will be purchased with Crystals, and offer even more rewards.
Matchup Mayhem LTM
“Matchup Mayhem” is a new limited time event that has completely randomized gameplay. Players will be forced to use random hunters, even the ones that haven’t been recruited yet. This is a great way for fans to try out something new, and maybe gain something to strive for.
Improved Mechanics
Jump and clamber have just been added to the arena, which were sorely needed. Movement is very important, especially in a contained arena format. Sprocket and Zaina have new passives to compensate for these changes.
Players can also now login across different devices, by supporting an Apple or Email account in addition to Guest sign-ins. You’ll also be able to change your name once a week, a feature that isn’t as common as you might think.
Aside from other small tweaks, a highlight of the improvements includes the option to cancel abilities. This introduces more strategy and control into the game, and anything less is often considered a bug in most of its peers.
