Stardew Valley fans have something to look forward to. The developer Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, has announced that the highly anticipated 1.6 update will be released for PC on March 19th, 2024. Console and mobile versions should follow shortly after, according to the update.
This news confirms that the update will tackle a key issue for mobile players: bug fixes. Since the 1.6 announcement, fans have eagerly awaited the update, but some faced issues with the mobile version that affected their game experience. ConcernedApe has addressed this feedback by incorporating mobile bug fixes into the 1.6 update, assuring players that their concerns have been acknowledged.
While bug fixes are important, the real excitement is in the new content promised in 1.6. From what we’ve heard, these are the biggest features coming:
- Some deeper character development and more in-depth storylines in the game’s dialogue.
- There are new challenges and goals in the end-game content.
- There will be new crops.
- With the update, characters in Pelican Town can now be seen donning seasonal outfits.
We won’t have long before we see the new update come. Hopefully, console and mobile players won’t have to wait long. Unfortunately, because a set day has not been given for anyone outside of PC, that may mean a longer wait. Still, it’s not like we’d want to wait so all platforms can have the update simultaneously.
