Steel Empire Chronicles, a steampunk narrative shoot ’em-up game created by Mebius, has been added to the Strictly Limited Games catalog for an upcoming physical release. In addition, limited versions of Steel Empire Chronicles will be available, which will include a variety of iterations of the game from the past as well as the remake version of Steel Empire. These packages will also include Over Horizon, the 1991 NES shoot ’em-up game created by the same developers as Steel Empire.
The events of Steel Empire Chronicles is set in a world where the Motorhead Empire reigns with an iron fist. Luckily, a sole pilot from the Republic of Silverhead has arrived to save the day and bring peace and harmony to all.

Steel Empire Chronicles Limited Edition will be available exclusively on the Strictly Limited Games store. It is priced at €39.99 / $39.99 and is limited to 3,000 individually numbered copies for Switch and 1,300 for PlayStation 4. Customers will have the option between two cover variations, which feature either the Steel Empire Chronicles title sheet or the classic Over Horizon title sheet.
A Special Limited Edition of Steel Empire Chronicles is also available and is limited to 2,000 individually numbered copies for Switch and 700 for PlayStation 4, which costs €59.99 / $59.99. It contains a unique collector’s edition box designed in the form of a Mega Drive case and packed with several collector’s items. It also includes the soundtrack of all games.
The limited editions of Steel Empire Chronicles will be available for pre-order on the Strictly Limited Games store on Sunday, April 9 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM PT / 5 PM CEST and shipping is expected for Spring 2023.
