Stellaris Galactic Paragons DLC and Gemini 3.8 Update are now available, bringing a wealth of new features, improvements, and content to the game. Galactic Paragons, the latest addition to the Stellaris universe, expands the Council mechanic, adds unique council roles, dynamic leaders, legendary paragons, and more. Stephen Muray, Game Director for Stellaris, emphasizes the team’s commitment to enriching players’ experiences by bringing life to the stories of the leaders in the Galactic Council and their empires.
Galactic Paragons includes specialized council roles based on civics and government types, allowing players to unlock additional positions as their empires evolve. Players can also recruit, improve, and guide dynamic leaders through their careers. The DLC introduces Galactic Heroes, unique leaders with their own art, events, and stories, as well as four Legendary Paragons with intricate event chains and unique mechanics.
Additionally, Galactic Paragons introduces new traditions, civics, ships, art, and story content, including a new “Under One Rule” Origin and eight new Civics focused on leadership. It also features 12 new Veteran Classes, hundreds of new Leader Traits, and two new Tradition Trees.
The Gemini 3.8 Update launches alongside Galactic Paragons, offering new features, quality of life improvements, story events, and bug fixes. The update introduces Cooperative Multiplayer (Beta), allowing several players to play the same empire in Stellaris. The new Empire Council feature includes up to three leaders assisting players in ruling their empires, with each leader providing bonuses to their area of expertise.
Gemini 3.8 also debuts a Ruler Creator, allowing players to customize their ruler’s appearance and starting trait. Six existing leaders have been updated to the new leader system introduced in Galactic Paragons, including new traits, events, and updated artwork.
The Custodian team has improved Ground Combat, rebalancing Devastation and orbital bombardment, and enabling starbases to construct offensive armies. Sector Editor makes a return, allowing players to edit sectors in the Planets and Sectors screen.

New Capital Designations for non-Gestalt empires are introduced in the update, with Factory Capital, Forge Capital, Trade Capital, and Extraction Capital to boost economies. Fleet & Ship Designer has also been updated, streamlining the interface and introducing usability improvements.
Science Ship Automation now includes modules for exploring systems, surveying systems, investigating anomalies, excavating archaeology sites, and researching special projects. The update also offers (Almost) Rebindable Hotkeys, enabling players to rearrange the left-side menu options and change corresponding hotkeys.
Finally, the Gemini 3.8 Update addresses the issue of overwhelming notifications in Stellaris, introducing a new type of message called a “Toast” for low priority information and allowing players to customize notification preferences.
