Train Valley World, a strategy and transport sim about railway networks from developer Flazm and publisher tinyBuild, has just been announced with a new reveal trailer. The trailer shows off the key gameplay mechanics, as well as new features like automation, an improved level editor, and more.
Train Valley World is currently slated to launch in 2024, though a concrete release date hasn’t been confirmed. It will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, where you can wishlist the game now. You can watch today’s reveal trailer on the tinyBuild YouTube channel:
The Train Valley series has received a lot of praise for its balanced gameplay, emphasizing puzzle elements over management, and the surprising scope of its historical settings. Both Train Valley and Train Valley 2 were major hits, raising the standards and stakes for Train Valley World to be equally ambitious and inventive.
Train Valley World boldly stresses the global approach, and although the series did begin that way, this new sequel aims to be even more expansive in every regard. The official Steam page mentions 25 levels inspired by locations from Las Vegas to Frankfurt.
It seems the puzzle aspects will continue to be front and center, as the new automation mechanics will likely temper management sim gameplay.
But the most impressive addition, as highlighted in today’s trailer, is arguably the new multiplayer mode. Available at launch, it will support up to four players, who will get to share resources and face challenges together. But you can still aim to “establish logistical and financial dominance”.
It’s been years since Train Valley 2 launched, but the wait should be worthwhile. The graphics look better than ever, and the devs smartly continue to include all of the beloved mechanics, while elaborating on them and expanding.
