Anticipation is rising as Super Mega Baseball 4 appears to be set to be announced in less than a month, according to a tweet by known leaker billbil-kun. The tweet also revealed that the game will be available for pre-order and will be released in both Standard and Ballpark Editions for PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch consoles at a price of $49.99.

On March 23rd, 2023, Super Mega Baseball 4 received a rating in Taiwan for platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. This led to speculation that the release of the game was imminent. The latest leak by billbil-kun seems to confirm the suspicion of an upcoming announcement.

Developed by EA and Metalhead Software, the Super Mega Baseball series has been well-received by gamers and critics alike. The previous installment, Super Mega Baseball 3, was launched on May 13, 2020, after a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The game was initially slated for release in April 2020, but Metalhead Software announced a revised release date on April 23, 2020, citing industry-wide delays.

Super Mega Baseball 3 introduced a host of new features, including an all-new Franchise mode and the ability to import custom teams from Super Mega Baseball 2. The game was released on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and later on Amazon Luna on January 11, 2021.

Super Mega Baseball 3 featured several game modes, including Exhibition, Pennant Race, Season, and Elimination, as well as the new Franchise mode. The latter allowed players to sign free agents and focus on player development. In a post-launch update, Metalhead Software also introduced a cross-platform online mode called Online Leagues, enabling users to create and join custom leagues with friends for casual or competitive play, accommodating up to 32 players.

Fans of the series eagerly await the announcement of Super Mega Baseball 4, hoping for even more exciting features and gameplay improvements.
