Super People, the South Korean battle royale from Wonder People, has released a new trailer for some big changes to the Skill and Crafting system. This update is expected to roll out sometime in December 2022, with no concrete date revealed yet.

However, a devstream was also announced for November 16th, 2022, which is expected to cover everything in further detail and confirm a patch date. You can watch today’s new trailer on Super People’s YouTube channel here:

Super People has been pretty divisive in general, as some feel it’s a solid follow-up for those who have tired of PUBG, while others have been annoyed by its unbalanced gameplay.

As a result, many players who are already invested in this battle royale are concerned about changing anything to the Crafting system. Most players seem satisfied with the current state of Crafting, and are only interested in improved balancing.

However, there are mainstream audiences who simply dislike the Crafting mechanic altogether, and it seems that the devs are struggling to find their audience. Player interest has been surprisingly high, but player feedback remains very mixed.

If the Skill and Crafting system is poorly reworked, Super People risks losing both their existing fanbase and new players. The devs are finally investing a little more in this game, but whatever December’s update will actually involve, it could easily make or break the game and shape its future. Instead of rebuilding the game outright, it would’ve been safer to fix Super People’s existing problems.

Super People got off to a rocky start largely due to its questionable store, odd balancing decisions, and basic performance issues. But the core gameplay and style still have potential, even in the densely populated battle royale genre.
