Scorn, the Xbox timed-exclusive survival horror is set to make its long-awaited debut on the PlayStation 5 console. Developed by Ebb Software and published by Kepler Interactive, Scorn initially launched for PC and Xbox Series X|S in October 2022.
Following nearly a year since its initial release on PC and Xbox, Scorn‘s exclusivity period is coming to an end, paving the way for the game’s arrival on other platforms. As anticipated, PlayStation has recently made an exciting announcement, revealing that PS5 users will soon have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the terrifying adventure that Scorn offers. The game is set to launch on the platform this Fall, and PlayStation fans can also expect the release of the Deluxe Edition of Scorn, which includes the full game, a Steelbook case, a Digital Artbook, and an Original Soundtrack.
Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe. It is designed based on the concept of “being thrown into the world,” leaving players isolated and lost inside a dream-like world. Scorn allows players to explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion within an unsettling environment that is a character itself.
Every location in Scorn offers its own theme, story, puzzles, and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game, players will unlock new areas, and acquire different skills, weapons, and various items, all while attempting to unravel the mysteries presented to them.
Offering a highly immersive experience, Scorn presents a realistic portrayal of the character’s body and movements, providing players with a significant level of awareness. Realistic interactions with the environment are emphasized, requiring players to pick objects with the character’s hand instead of just floating in midair, while machines and instruments are operated by grabbing the controls.
Strategic loadout management becomes crucial in Scorn, as resources are defined and limited. This plays a big role in keeping the player in an even greater state of awareness throughout the game, requiring them to think about when to fight and when to take cover, and how their actions affect the world around them.
Fans eagerly anticipating Scorn‘s arrival on PS5 can now add the game to their PlayStation Store wishlist to be notified when it becomes available.
