Shame Legacy is an upcoming first-person survival-horror game developed by Fairyship and Revenant Games. In this game, players will take on the role of a prey that is attempting to survive a hunt in a 19th-century forsaken cultist village.
Recently, publisher Destructive Creations announced that Shame Legacy is set to launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 30th. As they strive to survive the hunt in Shame Legacy, players will use stealth and escape mechanics. As such, players must make their every move silently and avoid contact with the villagers that are after them. Nonetheless, being spotted by the villagers is not the end of the world if players are fast enough and can keep their nerves in control. Apart from thrilling survival gameplay, Shame Legacy contains puzzles that players must solve to uncover the mysteries behind the hunt.
Like any other survival horror game, visual aspects contribute a great deal to the thrill and degree of scariness. In the case of Shame Legacy, although it already seems to be a promising horror game that could be on par with The Outlast series thanks to its eerie setting, some improvements to character design would likely help it to be even more horrifying. So far, the announcement trailer have provided only a few glimpses at the adversaries, so it may be still too early to judge the entire appearance of Shame Legacy. In any case, all positive impressions from the trailer would hopefully be delivered upon its release.
