The city-builder genre allows players to plan and adapt a unique settlement and Sweet Transit is no exception to this rule, allowing players to create and run a transport-based settlement that can grow into a thriving city. After releasing a year ago, Sweet Transit is receiving its third major update called Swift Expedition is bringing new features like jet trains and highly-requested UI changes.
In a trailer for the Swift Expedition update released earlier today, players can see all six new trains, including the jet trains that will help players transport citizens faster. There are now also changes to the decoration system, with it being more reflective of the scenery you place relative to distance and it should be more accurate due to placement. In addition to these changes, this update is meant to improve the quality of life as well.
The trailer also starts with a heavy focus on fixing the user interface, hoping to make the menus easier to read and navigate. Players should be able to better understand how many resources they have and understand the settings before they establish their settlement. Overall, it seems like the menus have been decreased in size so players can see the selected train or building and its stats at the same time.
Sweet Transit has also been updated with various smaller quality-of-life improvements meant to make the game more enjoyable overall. The procedural map generation will now be more “natural” with players able to see unique ore deposits on the map ahead of time. Citizens and tracks have been improved, offering signals to limit the number of passengers and the ability to switch tracks via a switch.
