The indie illustrated adventure game developed by DuCats Game Studio, Swordbreaker: Origins, is now scheduled to be released on consoles next month by publisher Sometimes You.
Swordbreaker: Origins is an illustrated text quest in the Swordbreaker universe. The game is centered around the life and adventures of Swordbreaker from his childhood, and before the events that took place in the mysterious castle. It was first released for PC via Steam back in May 2022. Recently, Sometimes You revealed that the game will finally launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on May 5th.
In Swordbreaker: Origins, players will discover the exploits of the young adventurer, Swordbreaker, which happened to him long before the events of the first game. At this point of time in the Swordbreaker universe, the territory that makes up the kingdom of Dorgan is the setting of some peculiar occurrences. Some folks in the kingdom have been talking about the mysterious strangers in the northern marshes, while others have been hearing a peculiar hum coming from underneath the ground. All of these strange events enticed the young Swordbreaker to plunge into the depths of extraordinary adventures.
Swordbreaker: Origins features a nonlinear story with 8 incredible endings. It also features the vast expanses of the kingdom as well as several other interesting places to explore. The stunning comic illustration art style is carried over from the first game into Swordbreaker: Origins. Apart from the main gameplay, there are also a variety of mini-games that players may participate in when they need a break from the action.
Swordbreaker: Origins is now available for pre-order on the Xbox Store, and Nintendo eShop. The pre-order sale ends in 12 days, so be sure to purchase now to get a 20% off discount. For PlayStation owners, you can add Swordbreaker: Origins to your PlayStation Store wishlist to be alerted when it is released.
