In Talos Principle 2, players often face challenging puzzles that can stump even the most experienced gamers. Yet, if you are genuinely puzzled, there is a way to skip the puzzle room you are in by using Prometheus Sparks, otherwise known as Tokens.

This guide will explain what Prometheus Sparks are, how to find them, and when you should use them. If you’re having trouble, try resetting the puzzle so you can start fresh and try something different.

What Do Prometheus Sparks Do in The Talos Principle 2?

Prometheus Sparks are essentially your limited get-out-of-jail-free cards. Using a Prometheus Spark or Token, you can instantly skip or complete a puzzle, so you no longer have to suffer trying to solve it, and you can move on to another one.

To use Prometheus Sparks, you need to interact with the Prometheus Terminal located at the entrance to every puzzle room. Just walk up to it and hit the button prompt that appears, and if you have a Token, you can use it and skip the puzzle.

How to find Prometheus Sparks

In my experience, Prometheus Sparks are rare to find. They are often tucked away, hidden in the massive areas of Talos Principle 2, and are easy to miss when you’re heading from puzzle room to puzzle room. I only found one in the first area, and I had to do some basic parkour to get to it. But personally, I’d rather suffer by banging my head against a brick wall trying to solve a difficult puzzle than try to find these Sparks, which could be anywhere in an area. You can find Prometheus Sparks by completing Light Monument puzzles. In the top left, the top golden icon of the two is your Prometheus Sparks.

When should you use Prometheus Sparks?

Prometheus Sparks are finite. Meaning there’s a limited number of them in Talos Principle 2. From my experiences, even though some of the early puzzles can be difficult, I can imagine these puzzles getting increasingly more complex as you progress through more areas. I suggest holding on to these Sparks as if they were elixirs from JRPGs. They are nice to have, but you’ll never use them unless you’re in dire straits.

Remember, Prometheus Sparks are a tool for bypassing the toughest of puzzles in Talos Principle 2. Use them wisely, and you’ll be able to enjoy the satisfaction of solving most puzzles on your own while still having a lifeline for the most difficult challenges.
