The classic eSports team Rogue has just announced that gaming tech company Razer has decided to sponsor them, so fans can expect to see a lot more Razer advertisements and tie-ins.

Here’s the tweet from Rogue’s official feed, which focuses on a shared “commitment to excellence”:

Longtime fans should keep an eye out for upcoming changes to merch and marketing, as Razer fuels another step forward for Team Rogue.

Razer is popularly known for their high-speed, high-performance technology, including everything from laptops to software. In fact, just last week Razer announced a brand-new, universal mobile gaming controller that imitates a console experience:

Razer has been improving the industry since 2005, and they even boast the virtual currency “Razer Gold”, which can be spent on thousands of various games.

A sponsorship from companies of this level definitely spells success for Rogue in the future. Rogue will have access to some of the latest in technology, which is constantly changing.

It also proves that the team is willing to invest the time and effort into acclimating with different setups. In the pro scene, even the slightest changes can take some getting used to. Many pros argue specs and settings, which truly can make the difference between a loss or a W.

Unfortunately, this news means that fans may need to shake up their own setup in the near future, if they want to share the same tech as their favorite team. That could be a little pricey, since Razer is always pushing the limits, and they offer such a variety of products.

Hopefully, fans of Rogue could potentially get discounts. At the very least, Razer could offer tie-in merch that features team Rogue’s logo or teammates. You can read more about Team Rogue and other popular eSports teams in our up-to-date news section!
