When it comes to monster collecting games, it’s hard to stand up to the most popular in the industry. Many franchises have tried to walk in Pokemon‘s shoes with little success, but TemTem has its own charm and isn’t afraid to try new things. Plus, TemTem goes where Pokemon never dared: a completely multiplayer experience.
Never before has it been so easy to train monsters and run through the world with your friends. Players who’ve yet to try it out will get to play multiplayer when the game releases later this year, on September 6. While the game has been out for years in early access, it’s finally reaching its final form at the end of this summer. The release date came with a special trailer to commemorate the event.
In TemTem, players start out as a normal trainer beginning their journey to becoming a master of all the TemTem. Players will travel through different regions, meeting and befriending all sorts of creatures along the way. Before they start their journey, they’ll have to choose between three starter TemTem, similar to other games in the genre.
The 1.0 update will be more content for experienced players to engage with. There will be the addition of seasons that will change what players can earn by playing, as well as a new Archipelago that the player can explore and catch new TemTem at. The update also promises exciting new activities that players will be able to participate in.
There will also be the addition of new weekly quests, the endgame island, and more interaction with the world. Players are free to explore and engage with this world at their own pace, be it with their friends at their side or just powerful TemTem. However players decide to take part in this world, they’ll be able to see it fully realized when the 1.0 update releases later this year.
