Developer Supermassive Games has announced that the interactive drama and survival horror series, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, will finally be available on the Nintendo Switch platform on October 5th, 2023. Published by Bandai Namco, this sequel to the anthology’s season premiere, Man of Medan, first launched in October 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, followed by a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release in September 2022.

Since its initial launch, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope received positive reviews, owing to its captivating graphics, dynamic and immersive gameplay, and engaging narrative. Some considered the game as a significant improvement over its predecessor, especially in the writing department and replayability.

Drawing inspiration from the Silent Hill franchise, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is set in a fictional town in Massachusetts. The game follows the journey of four college students and their professors stranded in the abandoned town of Little Hope. The town traps the characters in an impenetrable fog and haunts them with terrifying visions from the past. As they try desperately to escape, players must figure out the motivation of these apparitions before the evil forces at work drag each of the character’s souls to hell.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope features Hollywood actor, Will Poulter, lending his talent by taking on the role of the game’s protagonist, named Andrew. The game sets itself apart from its predecessor with its enhanced visuals, improved UI, new difficulty, and Quick Time Event settings, among others.

Currently, only The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man Of Medan is available on the Nintendo platform, while other entries in the series, except for Little Hope, have yet to be confirmed for a Switch release.

For those eager to get their copy of the Nintendo Switch of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, pre-orders will be available soon on the Bandai Namco Entertainment website.
