GigaBash is a multiplayer action brawler game developed and published by Malaysian independent studio Passion Republic Games. It was released for Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on August 5, 2022.
GigaBash is played from an isometric perspective. In the game, the player takes control of a kaiju and must engage in combat in locations that may be destroyed. These monsters are capable of mild and heavy attacks, as well as unique special attacks. Additionally, they can evade, do flying dashes, and throw structures and items at their opponents.
The player will collect Gigaenergy as they inflict damage on opponents. With sufficient Giga-energy, the kaiju will change into an “S-class” monster that is more powerful and bigger. During the course of a match, a Giga-ball will emerge. When a kaiju obtains a Giga-ball, it is able to unleash a devastating ultimate assault against other foes. The game would start with ten distinct creatures. The monsters in the game were inspired by Godzilla, Megazord, and Ultraman, among other iconic tokusatsu characters.
Previously, GigaBash announced that a character downloadable content Godzilla will launch on December 9th. In Godzilla DLC – Teaser #1, a destroyed cityscape with the game’s environmental design was shown, as all battles take place among destructible structures. A few seconds later, the teaser then cut to a silhouette of Godzilla.
GigaBash – Godzilla 4 Kaiju Pack steam page revealed that the Godzilla DLC will introduce four new playable characters from the Godzilla universe, each with their own iconic abilities and unique moves. Fans speculate that Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah will make up the last three. While some suggest Mothra will not join and Gigan, along with Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla, will be featured. GigaBash has not yet confirmed these rumors or the other characters that will join Godzilla in the DLC. Nonetheless, fans may expect the release of further Godzilla 4 Kaiju Pack teasers prior to its release later this year.
