The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition v1.2 patch is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, bringing a plethora of enhancements and fixes to the award-winning RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. The development team has been hard at work, addressing various performance and stability issues, as well as implementing general bug fixes.
Among the performance improvements, the patch introduces FSR as a replacement for dynamic resolution, an option selector on PC, framerate enhancements across all platforms, and specific DirectX 12 allocation improvements on PC. It also optimizes graphics settings for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, VFX during combat, and addresses multiple flickering issues.
In terms of stability, the patch fixes an occasional crash when detecting graphics settings on PC. General updates include bug fixes, material and texture updates, lighting improvements, and LOD enhancements to reduce popping. The development team will continue to gather feedback and implement further improvements as needed.
