INZOI looks like it will take The Sims down, and we've got the details of the game here!

Many players did not like Sims 4, but Project Renee is supposed to be the sequel that pushes the series to new heights. However, there is a game made by the developers of PUBG called INZOI which definitely looks like it will put the Sims to rest. I’m a dedicated fan of The Sims and a fanboy of Will Wright, the series creator who left the company in 2009. INZOI looks like it will replace the Sims and give it a proper burial.

Sim City 5 came out and was received poorly to put things nicely. That’s when Cities: Skylines came in and ended Sim City’s reign decisively. I predict that if INZOI were to release at the same time as Project Renee or soon after, it would do the same. If Maxis didn’t learn from what happened with Sim City 5 and still thinks they’re untouchable, they are wrong.

The gameplay video not only looks amazing, but it is incredibly detailed. Players go around the city and do their daily tasks. When you go to work, you don’t just pick an option and wait for work to end, you actively tell your Sim to do the tasks needed at your job. It’s something The Sims hasn’t brought to the base games yet – sometimes in packs – and it’s done so well in INZOI.

Not only that, designing your home looks far more realistic thanks to Unreal Engine 5, which the game takes full use of. The homes look amazing, and almost like you’re playing an architecture game. The graphical fidelity is a huge reason why people are first drawn to the game, it’s almost realistic. I’m against the industry raising the price of games without raising the quality, but this looks like it’s easily worth $70.

The Tweet above shows some screenshots to get you hooked, but the gameplay video will do a lot more. Sims always needed a rival and I’d say this is one menacing challenger to the throne of life simulation games. We reported on multiplayer finally coming to The Sims, but it may be too little too late from Maxis. I’m already on INZOI’s side, and looking forward to seeing what the game is like when it releases.
