The Witch And The Beast Anime Adaptation

The Japanese manga series The Witch and the Beast will have an anime adaptation set to premiere soon!

The Witch and the Beast, otherwise known as Majo to Yajuu, is originally a manga series written and illustrated by Kousuke Satake. It was serialized in Young Magazine on November 3rd, 2016, and then moved to Monthly Young Magazine when Young Magazine published its final issue on November 3rd. As of 2022, each of the book’s chapters has been compiled into nine separate volumes. At the 2019 New York Comic Con, Kodansha USA made the announcement that they have obtained a license to publish the Witch and the Beast series in the English language.

According to the description provided by Kondansha, the manga series Majo to Yajuu by Kousuke Satake tells the story of Ashaf and Guideau. Ashaf, a gentle-sounding man with delicate features who carries a coffin strapped to his back and is surrounded by a flock of black crows. Meanwhile, Guideau is a wild and dangerous young woman who possesses sharp fangs and the eyes of a beast. This sinister duo shows up one day in a village that is under the control of a witch. The witch is a ruler with magic coursing through her tattooed body, and she has the citizens of the town persuaded that she is their savior. However, Ashaf and Guideau are more knowledgeable. They adhere to a single creed, which states, “Wherever a witch goes, nothing but calamities and curses follow.” They have scores to settle, and they will not hesitate to eliminate anyone who stands in their way, regardless of whether it is an angry mob or an army garrison.

The Witch and the Beast is a sophisticated and explosive manga about powerful women as well as good and evil. It features a plot of vengeance set in a stylish, art-deco urban fantasy that is reminiscent of both Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist. A recent article in the September issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine announced that an anime version of “The Witch and the Beast” will soon be released. However, the announcement did not include any specific details regarding the premiere date.
