Theorycraft Games, a brand-new development team consisting of experienced developers who worked on major games from Riot Games, has made an exciting announcement, introducing their premiere game, currently codenamed ‘Project Loki.’ In its first official trailer, Joe Tung, the Co-founder and CEO of Theorycraft Games, took the opportunity to share some exclusive insights into the visuals, map, and gameplay of Project Loki.
Drawing inspiration from renowned titles such as League of Legends and Fortnite, Project Loki promises to deliver a thrilling multiplayer experience. Described as a group adventure, a competitive sandbox, and a highlights factory, all at once, Project Loki offers a team-based hero battleground, seamlessly blending various genres. Players have likened the game to a fusion of League, Apex, and Smash, resulting in a competitive PvP game that combines elements of hero shooters, action games, and battle royales.
Throughout the developmental journey, Theorycraft Games has fostered a vibrant community of players who have tested the game and provided feedback via Theorycraft’s Discord channel. Tung emphasized the significance of this community-driven approach, highlighting the player-centric focus that has guided Project Loki‘s evolution.
In a session of Project Loki, players will assemble a squad from its diverse roster of Heroes. Each Hero possesses unique powers and equipment, allowing players to craft entirely distinctive play styles. Engaging in sprawling, free-flowing battles, teams will strive to outplay their enemies in exhilarating combat scenarios set in a vast, sky-bound world. Veterans of multiplayer online battle arenas (MOBAs) such as League of Legends or Dota will quickly find themselves at home in Project Loki, appreciating the features that set it apart while easily adapting their own playstyles to the game’s mechanics.
To offer a taste of the exciting gameplay experience that awaits, Theorycraft Games is organizing a PC playtest for Project Loki on June 29 through 30. Aspiring participants can now register for this opportunity on the official Theorycraft Games website.
