Thunder Goober’s Personality Dungeon, an upcoming standalone demo for comedic RPG Athenian Rhapsody, has just released a new trailer revealing the demo is coming to PAX East. Athenian Rhapsody doesn’t have a release window at this time.
PAX East is scheduled to run between March 23rd and March 26th, this year. It’s known for showcasing popular new panels and exhibitors from the entire gaming industry.

It should be surprising that Athenian Rhapsody is getting a new standalone demo, especially when it already released its own demo. However, developer Nico Papalia has consistently proven that this indie will surely be one of the strangest and most amusing in recent years.
So, it isn’t so odd that players will get a spin-off demo experience set in the world of the core game, adding a bit of lore with lots of content. Today’s trailer shows that the new demo coming to PAX East will at least share the same tone and style.
Athenian Rhapsody doesn’t seem to have a twisted sense of humor, so much as just plain quirky comedy. It’s occasionally juvenile, but it’s also certainly creative at all times. And that personality is on full display with today’s new trailer for Thunder Goober’s Personality Dungeon, including the title itself.
It looks like plenty of fun, but it should also prove to be very niche. So, it was a smart move to make this a free demo. The self-aware jokes about PAX East are amusing. Notably, the trailer teases three more games will be joining it at the Top Hat Studios booth.
