Dredge made waves earlier this year when it was released, with fans across the world praising its sinister yet comfortable gameplay. Now, developer Black Salt Games has put out another free update for Dredge bringing a wide range of content including new things to fear from the deep as well as the ability to capture those memories forever.

Black Salt released the game alongside a trailer detailing the new features, including the monster and aberrations above, but also the ability to play the title in two unique modes. Passive Mode seems to let your boat sail on its own, allowing you to relax as you move through the water, while Photo Mode will allow you to take pictures and introduces a new NPC called the Photographer.

There will also be new Wildlife Events, allowing players to take full advantage of the Photo Mode to get snaps of the beauty that can be found in Dredge. The new aberrations, monster, and NPC will give players new mysteries to uncover as they hop from island to island trying to understand the sea. Players will need to unlock the camera before they can use it, which likely means helping the Photographer.

Players can download the update now on whatever device they play on and begin uncovering the new mysteries found in this content update. This is only the second major update that Black Salt has released for Dredge since it launched in April, proving the developer’s dedication to supporting this title post-launch following its success.
