Gravity Game Arise has revealed an innovative mystery adventure game, TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC, designed for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Steam. While a release date is yet to be confirmed, it has been announced that the game will be available in both English and Japanese language options.
TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC invites players to delve into the world of unsolved murder cases, which account for five percent of cases globally. In this 2D x cinematic realistic forensics investigation simulation game, players will cooperate with colleagues possessing specialized skills in obtaining physical evidence to solve these cases. The game relies on analytical tools and the players’ own investigation skills.
The game’s storyline is centered around human ESP experimentation and “The Incident of the Abnormal Cult.” Amidst whispers of the existence of this case, a new threat emerges as a mysterious virus with an 80 percent fatality rate spreads rapidly through Tokyo. This virus affects even the nation’s top bureaucrats and the prime minister, eventually leading to “The Tokyo Lockdown.”

Four years after the state of emergency is declared, a provisional government manages to navigate the crisis. Meanwhile, Abnormal Cults, long-forgotten by the public, continue to operate in secret, leaving behind unsolved cases as traces of their activities. The protagonist, having a personal history of being captured and experimented on, sets out to solve a case that the police have failed to crack, hoping to expose the ambitions of the “Abnormal Cult Order.”
The gameplay of TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC revolves around gathering information on unsolved cases that arrive at the detective agency. Players will investigate various aspects of these cases, such as the victim’s personal information and activity history obtained from security cameras. By collecting and confirming this information on an evidence board, players will work to uncover the truth.
The game’s investigations will primarily focus on analyzing images of evidence from crime scenes and surveillance cameras to identify items, individuals, and points of interest related to the case. Security camera footage can reveal vital information about the victims and others involved in the case, enabling players to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident. Using the evidence board, players will deduce how the collected evidence connects to the unsolved cases, bringing them closer to solving these mysteries.
