Tokyo Revengers is a supernatural shounen anime based on the manga written by Ken Wakui. In this series, Takemichi Hanagaki’s second year of middle school was the highest point. Today, however, he’s a nobody. He even discovers that the Tokyo Manji Gang murdered his only girlfriend and her brother. Before being hit by a train, Takemichi flashes back to that same day twelve years ago, when he was still dating Hinata Tachibana.
He relives that day and even admits to Hinata’s brother about seeing their deaths. Takemichi urges the young boy to protect his sister before returning to the future. When he returns, he somehow isn’t dead. What’s even stranger is that the future has been changed. Takemichi learns he can alter the flow of time and goes back in time to change the course of the future.
Fans have been anxiously waiting for news about the second season of Tokyo Revengers. Today, the official trailer was released.
Season two of Tokyo Revengers will follow the Christmas Showdown Arc. In this arc, Tokyo Manji Gang, or Toman as they’re otherwise known, is pitted against a powerful new gang.
The voice actors for the main characters in this series may return and include:
- Yuuki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki. Yuuki is also known for his roles as Houji in Pokemon, Natsuo Todoroki in My Hero Academia, and Hazal from Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-.
- Yuu Hayashi as Manjirou Sano. He is also known for his roles as Ryuunosuke Tanaka in Haikyuu!! and Michizou Tachihara from Bungou Stray Dogs.
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ken Ryuuguuji. Tatsuhisa is also known for his roles as Ban in The Seven Deadly Sins and Makoto Tachibana in Free!
While the staff has yet to be revealed, the team listed on the official Tokyo Revengers website includes:
- Director: Koichi Hatsumi: Known for his work in Hunter x Hunter, Dororo, and Moribito – Guardian of the Spirit.
- Series Composition: Yasuyuki Mutou: Known for his work in Afro Samurai and Seikai no Senki III.
- Mechanical Prop Design: Hideki Fukushima: Known for their work in Owarimonogatari and Origin: Spirits of the Past.
- Sound Director: Satoki Iida: Known for his work in Angel Beats! and Assassination Classroom.
- Character Design: Keiko Ota: Known for their work in Psycho-Pass and Blast of Tempest.
- Character Design: Kenichi Onuki: Known for their work in Golden Kamuy and Major S5.
- Music: Hiroaki Tsutsumi: Known for their work in Jujutsu Kaisen and Dr. Stone.
