Earlier this year, Torchlight: Infinite launched to provide colorful and action-filled gameplay as players fight against giant monsters for the chance at loot. Today, the game launches into a new season called The City of Aeterna, which brings a new hero and area to explore, along with some requested quality-of-life improvements.

In the new update, players will be able to explore the City of Aeterna, ancient ruins where they’ll unlock secret areas hiding new rewards. There’s also a new hero being added to the battle pass this season, The Forsaken Iris, who is the ninth character to enter the game, as seen in the video below. Players who progress far enough in the update can take on the season’s boss, The Lone King.

Gemma players can use a new skill called Flame of Pleasure that will allow them to become engulfed in flames before laying out devastating attacks.

This new season also comes with a variety of optimizations like an increased drop rate for Legendary gear, which has been boosted by 350%. This also comes with a blueprint system that will allow players to craft Legendary gear by finding blueprints during the season.

Netherrealm Battles have also been revamped, which should allow for more exciting battles as players work to clear the map. Players can also expect new skills, gear, and more to be apparent when the game launches for the new season later tonight.
