The objective for Town members is to collectively pinpoint and remove the opposition, employing the unique attributes of their roles to prove innocence, uncover culprits, or confront dubious characters. The potential strategies for success are wide-ranging and varied.
Simultaneously, the Coven, Neutral, and the new Apocalypse factions operate discreetly, using their distinct abilities to counteract the Town’s endeavours. The game affords each role a unique pathway towards victory, whether that’s through the disposal of the deceased, blocking abilities of Town members, or initiating a trail of destruction.
The latest release introduces a plethora of new roles, broadening the possible strategies for securing a win. These roles come with unique abilities, including the power to execute daytime killings, confer additional votes to other players through knighthood, or carry out destructive blood rituals against known adversaries.
Further expanding the gameplay is the addition of the Apocalypse faction and the Four Horsemen game mode. Each of the Four Horsemen is endowed with a distinct win condition, making every gameplay uniquely exhilarating.
The control within the game has been expanded in Town of Salem 2. The use of Scrolls and Cursed Scrolls can respectively increase or decrease the likelihood of a player acquiring specific roles.
