Earlier this year, prominent leaker, Billbil-kun, hinted at the launch of a new Train Sim World title. Today, developer Dovetail Games has officially confirmed the upcoming release of Train Sim World 4, the newest installment in their popular railway simulation video game series. Train Sim World 4 is scheduled to be released on September 26th for PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Train Sim World 4 builds upon the success of its predecessor, promising an exciting experience in which players can express their unrivaled creativity. The game will allow players to operate Steam, Diesel, and Electric trains across three core routes in the UK, USA, and Europe. Furthermore, TSW 4 challenges players to master the controls in all weather.
With Train Sim World 4‘s Free Roam mode, players will have ultimate control spawning locomotives and stock wherever they want, allowing them to set their own path, perform their own tasks and even hand over control to the AI as desired. In addition, players will have access to the extensive Train Sim World back catalog, featuring over 70 different routes and locomotives.
Another highlight of Train Sim World 4 is the inclusion of Austria, a new country in the TSW series. Players will take control of the busy S-Bahn in Germany as they cross the border and into the foothills of the Austrian Alps with ÖBB’s 4024 Talent EMU.
Elevating the immersive train simulation experience, Train Sim World 4 features impressive ultrarealistic graphics, made with stunning lighting, volumetric fog, and advanced rain effects. These elements combine to capture breathtaking shots in Photo Mode, along with the updated OHLE rendering, further enhancing the visual fidelity of the game.
Train Sim World 4 will be available in Standard, Deluxe, and Special Editions. Pre-orders are now open on the official Train Sim World website.
