TT Isle of Man reveals Snaefell Mountain Course gameplay in new trailer

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3, an upcoming motorcycle racing sequel from developer Raceward Studio and publisher Nacon, has just released a lengthy new gameplay trailer. It features section one of Snaefell Mountain, which is intended to be the definitive course of the game.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 is expected to launch in May 2023, but a concrete date hasn’t been confirmed. It will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, as well as both of the latest gens of PlayStation and Xbox. Here’s the full gameplay reveal from Nacon’s YouTube channel:

TT Isle of Man has largely been a popular series, since it also happens to be considered a fairly accurate simulator. The recreation of famous tracks has been a particular highlight for fans, and today’s gameplay makes it immediately clear that a love of passion went into Snaefell Mountain.

Although Ride on the Edge 3 posted a reveal trailer last month, it didn’t include much of anything. Now, longtime fans can have some peace of mind. The 1:1 Snaefell Mountain looks very impressive, and it’ll be a thrill to experience the rest. The movement looks pretty smooth, too.

However, there have been some complaints about the graphics, and it does have some issues. It remains to be seen if releasing this game on next-gen consoles will benefit or compromise the immersion, which is a big selling point of the series. These games always had some trouble with spectacle, likely due to their budget.

But the physics and courses themselves are the key to success, and thus far, fans have been very pleased with the mechanics. Aside from the simulation genre, racing games in general have suffered greatly when the feel of the vehicles are too stiff or otherwise askew. Ride on the Edge 3 seems to have potential,
