Two Star Games, the indie developer and publisher behind the horror hit Choo Choo Charles, has released a new video announcing what updates that fans can expect for the immediate future, as well as how they feel about a potential sequel. Choo Choo Charles launched on December 9th, 2022, and it’s exclusively available on PC.
Two Star Games explained that “over the next month or two”, they would simply continue to roll out patches and bug fixes. They will begin working on a console port in January 2023, including next-gen and last-gen consoles for PlayStation and Xbox. The console port is planned to release in mid-2023.
Despite the extraordinary hype for this game, Two Star Games admitted today that it is still “too early” to confirm or deny a sequel. However, this does leave room for it after all, so fans can remain hopeful. Here’s the full video from Two Star Games:
Since a small content update is in the works, it’s much appreciated that the new side missions and other in-progress changes will be available on all platforms. It would be considerably tempting for a burgeoning developer to create exclusive content for consoles, in order to push fans into a separate investment.
This gesture continues to show how sincere Two Star Games feels about its fans, and that will certainly play a role in the success of their future, especially if it involves new games instead of a franchise. You can support the team by trying out their other titles on Two Star Games’ official Steam page.
Choo Choo Charles designed a villain who is just bizarre and creative enough to become iconic. But the game itself was built with mechanics that create genuine tension. The constant mobility and open world environment totally understand what makes the horror genre tick for fans.
