A Tweet from Witch on the Holy Night‘s official Twitter account announced that Witch on the Holy Night would be released in multiple languages (including English) in December 2022. Since this announcement, fans of this game have been beyond excited.
Type-Moon also revealed in 2021 that Witch on the Holy Night would be adapted into an anime film produced by Ufotable. The release date has been set for late 2023.
Witch on the Holy Night, or Mahoyo as it is sometimes known, is a Japanese visual novel developed by Type-Moon and was first released on April 12, 2012. The official storyline of the game can be found on their website. A rough translation reads:
In a mansion atop a hill live two witches.
Set in the late 1980s. The twilight of an era full of extravagance and liveliness. A boy who had come to the city crosses paths with two witches living in the modern age.
The boy lived a very ordinary life. She was dignified and proud. The girl lived in hiding, as if asleep.
Their stars have their own path. So their was unthinkable. But it wasn’t too long before the three very different people began living together.
In addition, the newly confirmed voice cast for this game includes:
- Haruka Tomatsu will voice Aoko Aozaki (main character).
- Kana Hanazawa will voice Kuonji (main character).
- Yuusuke Kobayashi will voice Soujuurou Shizuki (main character).
- Chika Anzai will voice Kojika Kumari (supporting character).
- Toshinari Fukamachi will voice Tobimaru Tsukiji (supporting character).
- Shohei Kajikawa will voice Housuke Kinomi (supporting character).
