Ubisoft has released an overview trailer for their new Ubisoft Connect PC platform, which reveals that the Beta is expected to begin rolling out today. Throughout “the coming months”, it will gradually be made available for all players.

Ubisoft Connect PC is intended to be a universal destination for players on all consoles, offering a variety of useful features like cross-platform chat, rewards, Ubisoft+ integration and more. It will be noticeable in the navigation bar of the desktop app, once the Beta is available for you. You can watch today’s Beta announcement trailer on the Ubisoft YouTube channel:

Ubisoft’s new trailer highlights an impressive variety of changes, most of which emphasize how things have been reworked to improve quality of life.

There’s also an emphasis on how much Ubisoft aims to respond to fan feedback, including an open invitation for players to “shape Ubisoft Connect” together, already pushing for a better sense of community. Assuming they are legitimately willing to listen, this could win over players who preferred earlier Ubisoft attempts.

Fans are likely going to appreciate a lot of the library updates in today’s trailer. While integrating Ubisoft+ is pretty obligatory for good business, the library’s display changes look tidy and convenient. Also, a spotlight for your friends’ streams seems legitimately neat.

According to the trailer description, Ubisoft Connect will be a free service, available on all devices and even from your games, so long as you sign into a Ubisoft account. Today’s official blog about Ubisoft Connect PC mentions a complete technological overhaul, which hints at a long-term investment.

The Ubisoft Forward 2023 showcase intrigued a lot of new players thanks to Star Wars Outlaws’ world premiere trailer, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and new details about Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It’s a smart time to overhaul a platform like Ubisoft Connect.
