Unturned 3.23.9.0 Update and Patch Notes Now Available

Unturned's 3.23.9.0 update is now live, bringing a variety of tweaks, fixes, and changes.

Unturned, a survival game set in a world overrun by zombies, has just rolled out its latest update, version 3.23.9.0. This update introduces an array of changes and fixes aimed at enhancing gameplay and rectifying previous issues.

The new additions to the game include the GrantDelaySeconds option for NPC rewards and the PlayerKnowsNameFlagID option. The latter allows the replacement of an NPC’s name with ‘???’ until the character is introduced.

Significant changes have also been made in the game’s recent patch. Asset bundles with the same name will now be loaded and redirected if the loading process encounters any hitches. Additionally, the developers have removed the bone influences setting, setting the default now at four.

The update also addresses numerous fixes, ranging from minor text corrections to more substantial adjustments. These include corrections to the shoulder and elbow bone blend weights, a typo in the Feather Hoodie description, and an issue with the grenade assuming a box collider is present. Other resolved problems include an error with the airplane propeller displaying partial transparency while not in use and the shirt/pants metallic texture smoothness missing from the combined clothing shader.

Other community-reported problems have also been fixed. These include several issues with item rarity colors in the crafting list, different behaviors of GC cleanup, and unloading unused assets after loading rewrite. A potential fix has been implemented for using numpad enter in text fields, and an issue that allowed picking up items from the ground into storage bypassing max item count has been addressed.

Finally, the update resolves issues that affected zombies’ special attacks, which were damaging barricades, structures, and vehicles even when targeting was disabled. Also, a loading error occurring when a script on an effect threw an exception while pre-populating the effect pool has been corrected.
