How to Get Cid V2 Sword (Weapon) in Verse Piece
To obtain the Cid Kagenou V2 sword in Verse Piece, you must first meet a set of specific requirements before speaking to the Shadow Teacher NPC during the night at the top of the tower at Frost Town. The necessary requirements are as follows: you must have accumulated 10,000 Gems, acquired 2 Cid’s Eyes, collected 2,500 Shadow Fragments, have the Shadow King trait equipped, hold the Shadow Garden title, and already own the Cid Kagenou Sword.
Each of these requirements is vital for progressing toward the V2 upgrade, and failing to meet any one of them will delay your ability to unlock the new sword.
How to Get Shadow Fragments in Verse Piece
Shadow Fragments are crucial for meeting the upgrade requirements for the Cid Kagenou V2 sword, and they are obtained by running the Shadow Castle dungeon. You can enter this dungeon by talking to the Spawn Dungeon NPC at Runes Island, which will cost you 2,500 Gems and 1 Dungeon Ticket.
The dungeon offers two different modes: Easy and Hard. However, I recommend playing on Hard mode. Why? Because one, you get more Shadow Fragments upon completion, and two you need to complete it 10 times on hard mode to get the title needed. Playing this on easy, and then on hard will take longer to get the 2,500 Shadow Fragments needed.
How to Get Shadow Garden Title in Verse Piece
To earn the Shadow Garden title, you must complete the Shadow Castle dungeon on Hard mode 10 times. When you enter the dungeon, you have the option to select the Hard difficulty by clicking on the Hard option at the top right of the screen before you click Start.
Once you have chosen Hard mode, note that switching difficulty after clicking Replay will not work, so make sure you set it correctly from the beginning. Successfully completing the dungeon on Hard mode 10 times will reward you with the Shadow Garden title, which is one of the essential requirements for upgrading to Cid V2.
How to Get Cid Kagenou Sword V1 & Cid’s Eyes in Verse Piece
Before you can upgrade to the V2 sword, you need to have the original Cid Kagenou V1 sword and 2 Cid’s Eyes. Both of these items can be purchased at the Events Exchange merchant on Starter Island, which is accessible to players between levels 1 and 100.
The Cid Kagenou V1 sword costs 1,000 Shadow Fragments, while each of the 2 Cid’s Eyes costs 2,500 Shadow Fragments. Keep in mind that the maximum number of Shadow Fragments you can hold in your inventory is 2,500. This means you will have to purchase each Cid’s Eye individually after you reach that cap, and the same applies to buying the Cid Kagenou V1 sword.
How to Get Shadow King Trait in Verse Piece
The Shadow King trait is an exotic rarity drop that has a 0.025% chance of being obtained. This trait is available exclusively from the Traits Reroll NPC, and there is no other method to get it. You can store the trait in your trait storage if you are low on other resources and want to save it for later use. Since this trait is extremely rare, you will need to rely on rerolling until you secure it.
Once you have met all the requirements, including obtaining the necessary gems, Cid’s Eyes, Shadow Fragments, the Shadow King trait, and the Shadow Garden title, and you already own the Cid Kagenou Sword, head over to Frost Town. During the night, go to the top of the tower and interact with the Shadow Teacher NPC. At this point, you will be able to upgrade your weapon to the Cid Kagenou V2 sword and enjoy one of the strongest end-game swords in Verse Piece, but remember your Shadow King trait will be deleted.
