Wall World, the indie tower defense roguelite with a robospider from developer and publisher Alawar Premium, will officially launch the anticipated Deep Threat DLC next week on August 9th, 2023.

The announcement came with a gameplay overview trailer, showcasing gameplay of all the new content. Deep Threat will add more story, mines to uncover, enemies, locations, abilities and more.

Wall World launched in April, and is available now on PC via Steam, where you can wishlist Deep Threat now. You can watch today’s new release date trailer on the Alawar Premium YouTube channel:

Wall World has made a big impression since launch, with polished gameplay, a neat art design, and a clever hook that delivers interesting verticality. You can read our full review of this indie from early April, where we break down the details.

Wall World: Deep Threat already got an official teaser in late June, but it was very brief and only revealed an antagonist. Today’s trailer finally shows off a variety of content that is sure to intrigue fans.

The upcoming locations look as gorgeous and mysterious as ever, which is always a nice incentive to explore. The enemies in today’s trailer have creative attacks, and their design hints at some of the new lore, particularly regarding “Zeus”. Zeus appears to be the central boss, and was featured in the previous teaser, but the new carpet bomb attack was a fun surprise.

It would have been nice if the footage showcased the details that were teased on the official Steam post last week. There will be a Chemical Weapon for area control, a “Jump in Place” ground pound ability, and more. The new DLC seems very promising and offers more than enough content to renew interest, especially for an indie.
