Digital Extremes, has announced the release of Warframe’s much-awaited cinematic update, The Duviri Paradox, on April 26 for all platforms. This update brings new and existing players into a time-looping adventure through a constantly changing multidimensional world, combining classic Warframe elements with an innovative approach to storytelling, accessibility, and design.
Upon starting the game, new players will have the option to begin their journey with The Duviri Paradox as the Drifter or through the main path with their Warframe. Returning players will find The Duviri Paradox Quest in their codex and on their Star Chart when the update is launched. Post-Quest, players can choose from three game modes: ‘The Circuit,’ an endless Warframe Only mode, ‘The Duviri Experience,’ a complete open-world adventure, and ‘The Lone Story,’ a solo narrative experience.
The update introduces Warframe’s fourth open world, a fractured and ever-changing landscape known as Duviri, ruled by Dominus Thrax. Players will experience different environments and combat styles as the world shifts with each mood of Dominus Thrax. The Drifter experience is improved with an upgraded melee combat system and the addition of Intrinsics to enhance Combat, Riding Abilities, Opportunity, and Endurance. Decrees, powerful randomized upgrades that reset with each mood Spiral, will also be unlocked daily as players progress.
Experienced players can use the new Incarnon Genesis System to install Incarnon Adapters on eligible weapons, unlocking improvements for in-mission use. Incarnon Adapters are available only in Steel Path Circuit missions on Duviri, which require a higher level of skill.
The Duviri Paradox also includes The Undercroft, a Warframe-focused area beneath the floating islands, featuring custom Warframe arenas and a mix of known enemies and new threats. Completion of this segment rewards players and restores color to the world above.
New cosmetic enhancements, such as facial hair options, Drifter Suits, community-concepted Deluxe Skins for Baruuk and Wisp, and Voidshell Skins for Limbo and Mesa, will be available with the update. The Duviri Paradox, offering a brand new Cinematic Quest, a new space in the Origin System, and various Endless Mission types, will be accessible to all Warframe players starting April 26.
