Patch #10, “Rejects Unite,” for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been released on Steam and will soon be available on the Microsoft Store. This update introduces new features, community events, and significant changes to the user interface and gameplay mechanics.
The patch introduces two new missions. In “Archivum Sycorax,” players are sent into Habzone HL-19-24, “Throneside,” to investigate suspected internal assistance to the Heretics. The mission involves breaking into Archivum Sycorax, where sensitive information that could confirm the suspicions is believed to be stored. The second mission, “Ascension Riser 31,” involves intercepting a consignment of Prismata Crystals that the Heretics are transferring to their allies in the Hive. This mission takes place in the depths of the Transit Hub HL-16-11, “Chasm Terminus.”
A new enemy, the Chaos Spawn, has been added to the game. This fourth Monstrosity is a frenzy creature with fast attacks and erratic behaviour. It also possesses a grab attack that heals the Chaos Spawn if not interrupted. The Chaos Spawn may seem familiar to fans of Warhammer: Vermintide 2, but it comes with new attacks and animations, making it a unique challenge.
The patch also kicks off the first of three Community Events. These events involve completing challenges to unlock rewards, with progress visible on the Darktide website and launcher. The rewards include a tattoo, a helmet, and the Ascension Riser 31 mission. The speed of progress towards the goal is influenced by the difficulty level of the game.
The Commissary, a new feature, has been introduced by Shipmistress Brahms. Located opposite the Commodore’s Vesture on the port side of the Mourningstar, the Commissary offers a selection of Operative and Weapon cosmetics for purchase using Ordos Dockets. The Commissary also introduces rarity levels to Cosmetic items, indicating their importance, significance, and uniqueness in the game.

The user interface of the Commissary has been updated for easier browsing of cosmetics for sale. The Commissary also allows players to preview all cosmetics on their Operative and distinguishes between owned and yet-to-be-acquired items.
The Commodore’s Vestures will feature new items for sale from May 30 at 10:00 UTC, with updates every two weeks on a Friday. Discounts will now be applied to Bundles where players already own one or more items within that bundle.
The Loadout View has been updated to show all available cosmetic items that can be earned for Ordos Dockets or unlocked via Penances. Players can navigate through the list of unlocked items to see how they appear on their operative and learn how to unlock them.
The patch also includes several updates and tweaks to gameplay, such as changes to Hunting grounds, adjustments to the Pox Hound pounce attack, and modifications to the Medical Crate healing speed and cost towards downed players. The timing between wielding and aiming an underhand throw with Frag and Stun Grenades has also been reduced.
