Warhaven, an upcoming PvP medieval fantasy from developer and publisher NEXON, has just released yet another trailer to showcase its NVIDIA DLSS 3 performance. The trailer features both new gameplay and cinematics that were not shown in the variety of showcases over the weekend.
Warhaven has not confirmed a release date just yet, but it’s expected to launch in Early Access sometime in fall 2023. A demo will be available for Steam Next Fest, beginning June 19th, 2023. You can watch today’s new gameplay trailer on the NVIDIA YouTube channel:
It’s impressive just how many trailers Warhaven has pushed over the last couple of days, but if those didn’t win over any skeptics, the new footage probably won’t either.
There are a few shots of some interesting mechanics, such as gliding and a few neat abilities, but nothing especially fresh. The NVIDIA visuals do look quite dazzling though, and a polished look is sure to help any free to play game.
You might recognize NEXON for titles like KartRider: Drift and MapleStory. Most NEXON games simply have a bargain bin tone, and they are often best reserved for very casual gameplay. The visual spectacle of Warhaven is immediately noticeable by comparison, as well as the ambitious mechanics and world.
After all, the Steam page mentions that the game will support two 16-player teams, offering six different classes across a variety of maps. It’s hard to tell if NEXON will be able to handle such extensive content, since the chaos in today’s trailer already feels a little messy.
Warhaven also doesn’t do very much to distinguish itself, and fans have already drawn many comparisons to For Honor. It will likely be the upcoming demo that sets the true expectations for Warhaven.
