Featured Pokemon Arceus Plates Guide

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a fresh take on the well-known Pokemon franchise that has been around for many years. There’s quite a few interesting new additions in this game, and that includes a variety of things that might be unfamiliar to the player. If you’ve collected a plate or two in the game and are wondering what they do, we’ll clear it up for you with this guide!

Plates Guide

As you playthrough Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you will be given different plates as you calm the lord Pokemon of each region that have gone frantic. You will also get a plate from each of the Pokemon that will help you travel throughout the game when you earn them.

These plates are Flame Plate, Splash Plate, Zap Plate, Meadow Plate, Icicle Plate, Fist Plate, Toxic Plate, Earth Plate, Sky Plate, Mind Plate, Insect Plate, Stone Plate, Spooky Plate, Draco Plate, Dread Plate, Iron Plate, Pixie Plate, Blank Plate, and Legend Plate. Once you get one of them, you will find that they have been added to the Key Items section of your inventory.

When you highlight over one of the plates, you get the following description:

A stone tablet imbued with the essence of ELEMENT. When used on a certain Pokemon, it allows that Pokemon to gain the power of the ELEMENT type.

Each of the plates represents one of the Pokemon types you will find in the game. The plates are used in Pokemon Legends: Arceus to change the type of the actual Pokemon species Arceus. When you use one of the plates on them, it will alter the type of this Legendary Pokemon and make the move Judgment use that type.

For example, if you want Arceus’ Judgment to be a Fire-type move, you can use the Flame Plate on Arceus. This can be done with all of the available plates in the game.

These plates have existed in past games, but a couple of new ones were added in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. These are the Blank Plate and Legend Plate.

The Blank Plate isn’t particularly exciting, because it will just turn Arceus into a Normal-type Pokemon.

The Legend Plate, however, is quite a bit more interesting. When you use the plate on Arceus, it will shift them into a Normal-type Pokemon just like the Blank Plate. The biggest difference is that when in battle, Arceus will become the type that is strongest against the targeted Pokemon once you use the move Judgment. That means you will always have the best typing when fighting against another Pokemon when using Arceus.

The Legend Plate is pretty hard to get because you will need to collect every single Pokemon in the game to get it. However, this is the true end goal, so if you want to really complete everything this title has to offer, it is something you will need to do!
