Valheim’s latest update has added the Mistlands, a mysterious new biome in the world for players to explore. Filled with unique rewards and mysteries to discover, the Mistlands are an enticing prospect for both new and returning players to explore. If you’re looking for how to get to Valheim’s Mistlands, you’ve found the right guide.

Where to find Valheim’s Mistlands

The Mistlands in Valheim generates randomly in every playthrough, with only two common factors: The Mistlands are often not near the center of the map, and are always in a location you haven’t discovered. You may need to craft a boat before you can discover the Mistlands, and you should always make sure you’ve got plenty of supplies before looking for it.

The fact that the Mistlands only generate in undiscovered areas means that you have less of a chance of finding them on a well-explored world. If you have an existing Valheim game with much of the map discovered, you might be better off starting a new game.

When you reach the Mistlands, it’s important to keep in mind the threats you will be up against. The Mist is inhabited by many spiders and a unique boss, and the sun never shines there.
